What to Expect
You will fill out a few sheets of paperwork at your first appointment, including a health history and consent form, for which you may wish to arrive a few minutes early. We will discuss your goals for each session and develop a plan to meet your needs. Sessions (time spent on the table) last for 30-120 minutes. I highly encourage clients to voice their needs as they arise in the massage setting, whether that is for deeper or lighter pressure, different draping, a change in temperature, a blanket, or to stop the session entirely.
Appointments and Cancellations
Appointments may occasionally be made same-day, though several days to several weeks in advance is encouraged. Please make any cancellations 24 hours prior to your schedule session.
If a session is canceled less than 24 hours in advance, or in the case of a missed appointment, I assess a $30 fee. Clients who make excessive cancellations on short notice will not be allowed future appointments.
Payment Options
I currently accept cash, check, and credit card via Google Checkout. Payments is due in full at the end of each session. New appointments may be scheduled when the client is up to date.
Early/Late Policies
Appointments start and end on time. I cannot see clients earlier than our scheduled time, and late clients will still be charged for the whole session.
Clothing and Draping
Clients have differing levels of comfort with disrobing, and you should take off only what you are comfortable with removing, though in most cases optimal work is done through the fewest layers of cloth. You will remain draped with a sheet during the session, and only the area being worked on will be exposed. Blankets and a table heater are available for warmth if desired.
Confidentiality
I take notes during sessions. My clients' personal information is not shared with outside parties. According to legal requirements, records are retained for four years after your last appointment.
Sexual Conduct
My massages are strictly therapeutic. If a client behaves in a sexual manner at any time before, during, or after the massage, the session will be terminated if one is in progress, and the client will be barred from all future appointments.
